Milner College is located in the city centre of Perth and is well serviced by public transport (buses and trains). The Perth Central Train and Bus Station is a 7-minute walk from the college. Milner is a two minute walk from the Swan River and a 5-minute walk from the bustling shopping district in the Hay St. Mall.  Milner’s experience dates back more than 30 years.  It is Australia’s second-longest established private EFL school and Perth’s first. Directors Warren and Rosemary Milner established the college in 1984, as a natural outcome of their interest in education and languages.  Warren is an Honours graduate of the University of Western Australia and Rosemary is an Honours graduate in languages.  Both have had extensive teaching and administrative experience.  Milner College is registered by the Ministry of Education, accredited by NEAS Australia and is a member of English Australia.

Milner College is completely owned and operated by the Milner family.  Personal attention is a top priority at Milner College, as is offering an excellent standard of English tuition. All of our teaching staff are fully qualified, experienced professionals with a University degree and the University of Cambridge Certificate in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages. In 1987, Milner College was selected by the University of Cambridge as the first college in Perth to conduct this internationally-recognized teacher training course.

Milner College is famous for its Cambridge courses, preparing more students for these exams than any other college in Australia. Exclusive and separate classes for the Preliminary English Test, First Certificate in English, Certificate of Advanced English and Certificate of Proficiency in English are guaranteed. Milner’s pass rate is high.

Milner College offers value for money in many ways. All students receive a free health club membership which includes use of a swimming pool, spa, sauna, gym and aerobics classes. We have free pronunciation classes twice weekly, a free counselling service, large café and beautiful roof garden, 6 fully-furnished studio apartments in the Milner building, library and listening facilities, free internet access, free wireless internet connection and extensive social program.
